Big lies about web design

Over the last few years, the (erroneous) idea has spread that anyone can have a professional website for free or for a very low price (50 or 100 euros).

Or even worse: there is a widespread belief that a professional web design can be done by practically anyone without putting any effort or work into it or that in a matter of a few minutes you can have a professional website up and running.

The harsh reality is that this thinking has generated a multitude of deceptions towards the end customer, who after hiring a service of this type has realized that not all that glitters is gold, that nobody gives away their work and that in all of this if things are not done well in the end, cheap can end up being expensive.

Below I will detail some of these big lies about web design that many clients experience firsthand.

1# Free “Do it yourself” website
2# Custom web design at ridiculous prices
3# Web maintenance for static websites
Do you have any experiences similar to those described in this dominican republic telegram data post and would you like to share them with me?
Do you know of any other situations that have been overlooked that are a complete scam for clients who want to have a quality professional web design?
Do you have a different opinion about any of the things I've said here and want to discuss it?
1# Free “Do it yourself” website
Don't be fooled.

The solutions we see on TV, such as “your website in 3 easy steps” or similar, that offer a website service where you can change texts and photos yourself for very affordable prices, are valid if you want to achieve exactly those same results: free and cheap results that will not bring any benefit to your company or your professional image.

Some “outstanding” features of this type of pages are: horrible web designs, they are not responsive (adapted to mobile devices), it is IMPOSSIBLE to position them well in search engines like Google, you cannot add any type of additional functionality that your website requires…and so on and so forth with “advantages”.

Come on, a gem to spend money on and not generate any value for your business.

A website of this type is of very poor quality, it is tacky and the only thing it will say about your company is that it is also tacky because it does not meet even the minimum quality standards.

Rest assured that any professional who claims to be one will tell you the same thing I did.

If you want to know more about this type of free or very cheap web pages, I invite you to read this article by Sandra Guerrero Sanmartí about the “benefits” and “advantages” that these types of pages have for you and your business.

I'm sure it won't leave you indifferent.

2# Custom web design at ridiculous prices
First of all, you have real reference prices on how much a website costs here (and why and based on what these prices can vary).
