30 years after its creation, Samsung entered the electronics industry , and since then it has not stopped growing, becoming in 2017, the largest information technology company, manufacturer of chips and consumer electronic devices.

Samsung Symbol – Three Stars
Of Korean origin, the term Samsung merges "Sam", which means "three" and "Sung", which means "Stars" and refers to the Korean symbol "Hanja", which means "great, numerous and powerful".
The three-star symbol has accompanied the company until relatively recently, varying its shape, design and style, but always accompanying the company name.
In 1993, Samsung decided to revamp its logo, removing the 3 stars and replacing it with bold Sans Serif typeface. In 2005, Samsung brought back the ellipse, and today, along with the text, it is its trademark.
