I didn't wait too long, because I knew I had to research the market first and see what people needed from the ground. I had noticed through my previous job that many small entrepreneurs were not utilizing the full potential of the internet, so I saw the potential here.
6 years ago, the digital literacy of Slovenians was still very poor, so I set myself the goal of teaching as many entrepreneurs and those who would like to become one to take advantage of digital channels, which are an excellent springboard for a new business.
Small entrepreneurs don't have a lot of money to start, so the internet makes it possible to use many tools for free or at very reasonable prices.
Today I'm going to share with you the tools I used to start my independent journey. I started my journey as a single mom with a negative balance in my account. This means that I am proof that with the right knowledge and good will, anything is possible.
In the following lines, I will present to you the tools or channels with which you can start your business today, completely free of charge .
1. WEBSITE
I've always flirted with the idea of going on an independent entrepreneurial journey, but I never had the courage. So even when I was still employed, I always wanted to do something that was for my soul and where I could implement my ideas the way I wanted.
That's why, before I went on my own journey, I made my own website, where I explained everything I knew and could offer to small business owners. I found a great free tool called Wix.com.
The tool is completely free, but if you want your site to have a domain and hosting, you have to pay. But for a start, the free site is quite enough. In the last year, the tool has been upgraded very well, so it is really useful.

2. SOCIAL NETWORKS
I started posting regularly on social media. First on Facebook , then on Instagram . When I knew I was going my own way, I also started posting intensively on Linkedin. So I slowly started introducing myself to my followers email lists uk and building my base, a community that started following me. Later I added Youtube and Tik Tok.

3. CREATING MARKETING CONTENT WITH CANVA
I created a free e-manual in the free tool Canva and started building my e-mail database. The best social network for acquiring contacts from my target group is Facebook, so I started paid advertising on this social network. 4. EMAIL MARKETING
Once I had a few email contacts, I started sending out regular weekly email newsletters using the free tool Mailchimp . Mailchimp is completely free for up to 500 contacts. It used to be free for up to 2000. It's a great tool for sending emails to get you started. Another easy tool is MailerLite.

5. CREATING VIDEOS
As I always emphasize, you can't do without video content today, so I discovered a great free tool for creating video content, Lumen5 . Back then, there weren't as many tools available as there are today. Today you can create in Canva, CapCut, Inshot and a lot of AI tools. Lumen5 allows you to create a video from your blog post. Today, you can easily edit everything in Canva.
